When etco Homes partnered with acclaimed LA-based firm, Kevin Tsai Architecture to design The Addison, one of three boutique communities in The Melrose Collection, they had an ambitious vision to masterfully design and build an inspired community—all while exceeding today’s most rigorous building standards.
The result of that vision: A 28-townhome community that harmonizes beautifully with the highly coveted neighborhood where The Addison resides, at the intersection of Melrose Place and Croft Avenue. With versatile multi-level floor plans inspired by the iconic brownstones of New York’s Upper Westside—but with a contemporary LA touch—these sophisticated West Hollywood homes range from street-level walk-up residences to upper floor townhomes with roof terraces.

See below for details on The Addison’s standout architectural, design and construction features.
Contemporary, Spanish-Inspired Architecture
Featuring a streamlined approach to Spanish-inspired design, Kevin Tsai Architecture crafted The Addison to embrace indoor-outdoor living and its vibrant Melrose District surroundings via open-plan residences with private patios or roof terraces, a breezy lobby and indoor-outdoor Community Lounge with a bar and a meticulously landscaped entry courtyard.
Certified Low Impact Development (LID) Elements
The Addison’s LID elements include oversized, rainwater-capturing planters and pavers that replenish groundwater resources to promote water reuse.
Drought-Resistant & Native Plants
Years of focused attention went into every detail of The Addison’s design, ensuring its distinct style would be in harmony with the area’s natural elements. To that end, The Addison’s lush entry courtyard, patios and Community Lounge outdoor area are all landscaped with native and drought-resistant plants.
Top-Rated Noise Isolation Design
Exceeds California Building Code requirements by approximately 18 points, promoting peaceful everyday living.
Sustainable, Fire-Resistant Steel & Concrete Structure
Unlike standard wood framed buildings, The Addison’s steel and concrete structure is durable, non-combustible, fire-resistant and made to last.
Environmental-Friendly Caesarstone Countertops
Genuine stone made with 42% reclaimed quartz, which helps preserve natural resources. Certified for its durability and low maintenance, this stone supports a healthier environment and better use of material resources.
